Today's Weed News for August 10th 2018 #GWPHARMACEUTICALS

For today's weed news we go to G.W. Pharmaceuticals.

As you may have heard, even though all cannabinoids (including CBD) still remain schedule 1 drugs (meaning that they allegedly have no medical value), the FDA still went ahead and approved the world's first cannabis-containing medication a few weeks ago.

I'm talking about the epilepsy drug Epidiolex, that is produced by G.W. Pharmaceuticals.

G.W. CEO Justin Glover was recently quoted saying "we expect to make Epidiolex available to U.S. patients this fall, following rescheduling, which is expected to occur within 90 days of FDA approval... we have been building commercial inventory in recent months and are in position to ship product into the U.S. supply chain, once rescheduling is complete."

It would seem that G.W. Pharmaceuticals is pretty sure about the FDA rescheduling at least CBD this fall.

That only makes sense since the FDA's approval of Epidiolex clearly contradicts the schedule 1 status of cannabidiol and cannabis as a whole.

But get this...

G.W. Pharmaceuticals are also the producers of Sativex, a 1:1 THC/CBD based medication for treating multiple sclerosis.

Once they complete the rollout of Epidiolex, the company is already planing a meeting with the Federal Drug Administration before the end of the year to get approval for Sativex!

If they are successful in bringing CBD out of schedule 1 status, then they might have a really good shot at doing the same with their THC-containing medication.

And that would be unbelievable!

If cannabis is removed from schedule 1 status, the floodgates are going to open for real.
