Sexual infections are often referred to as STIs (Sexually Transmitted Infections) or STDs (Sexually Transmitted Diseases). They are a number of infections or clinical syndromes caused by pathogens which can be acquired or transmitted via various sexual activities. In most cases, they are passed on through sexual contacts with people who are already infected. Many a time, one is advised to go for a test to confirm one’s status. However, there are many reasons why a person should be tested. These reasons include the appearance of certain symptoms which suggest a sexual infection, introduction of new sexual partner; the fact that your partner has one STI or the other, as well as having more than one sexual partner.
At this juncture, it is necessary to be aware of some facts about STIs or STDs. These are a couple of them:

  1. You can contact an STI the first time you have sex.
  2. An STI is not spelt out on someone’s face. Therefore, you cannot detect it by looking at them.
  3. You can contact an STI irrespective of your closeness with your partner.
  4. You can contact STIs from oral sex.
  5. You can contact an STI more than once.
  6. You can have more than one STI at a time.
  7. You can be infected for a long time except a test is carried out to detect it.
Going by all these facts, we shall state clearly that STIs such as Bacteria Vaginosis (BV), Pelvic Inflammatory Disease (PID), Gonorrhoea, Chlamydia, Genital Herpes (HSV), Genital Warts (HPV), Syphilis and the likes, can simply be cured from an infected person using plant-based drugs otherwise known as ‘herbal solutions’.
Over the course of living, man has often used medicinal plants for their therapeutic values. The question of human civilization is therefore no exception. It is important to note that nature has been a source of medicinal agents for ages and quite a number of modern drugs have originated from the natural sources based on one isolation or the other. Therefore, the plant-based otherwise known as phytotherapy, herbal therapy, botanical medicine or traditional medicine systems continue to play a vital role in health care with approximately 80% of the population of the world relying mainly on them for their primary health care. There are several plants in use today under the plant-based drugs. However, our focus is on Sida Acuta Burm. F.
Sida acuta is simply regarded as shrub which belongs to the Malvaceae family. It spreads across the subtropical regions; often found in bushes, farms and around habitations. It is believed that the plant is native to Mexico and Central America. However, its usages have given it home in the tropical and subtropical regions. Based on surveys carried out in many indigenous areas, the plant had diverse traditional usages. Among many usages discovered in terms of illnesses are headache, fever, rheumatism and infectious diseases. Indeed, every part of the plant is used to cure one illness or the other. We shall, in this context, concentrate on how to use its flower buds alongside Garlic and Ginger to cure several sexually transmitted infections.
