GREEN TEA- DOES IT REALLY HELPS YOU LOSE WEIGHT?

Hi steemians, i am back with another post about green tea and its benefits to you.Now whenever you are on diet or trying to lose weight , do not listen to a single trainer or a single individual person instead listen science and when it comes to green tea & weight loss, science is the only way to find out the truth, so lets just start it.

GREEN TEA & BLACK TEA

The first thing you need to understand is that there is very little difference between green tea and black tea.Black tea is formed by letting tea leaves oxidize and green tea on the other hand is more natural form of tea. Now if you compare these two , there properties and effects on human body are almost the same but the few difference but unfortunately green tea is marketed as a weight loss drink. Because of media and marketing agencies green tea is considered as a magical weight loss drink but unfortunately thats not entirely true.

EGCG OR Epigallocatechin Gallate

Green tea is full of antioxidants and antioxidants are great for your health but the one antioxidant that helps a lot with weight loss is called EGCG OR Epigallocatechin Gallate. EGCG is linked to an increase in function of CATECHOLAMINES to the body , catecholamines is basically a hormone that linked to a stress related situations or situation that involves muscle contraction and most importantly it linked to fat loss , thatswhy green tea makes lose weight.

But as per studies ,there are two bad things first the most of the brands use pure ECGC extracts but not green tea and secondly for benefit from EGCG , you need to consume anywhere between 300-400 mg/day and one cup of green tea has around 30-40 mg depending upon its strength so effectively you need to consume 10 cups/day for weight loss.

CAFFEINE

Also green tea contains caffeine which will help your fat loss to some extent , but its not gonna make up for all those deserts and sweets but you eat, if you eat unhealthy food and just drink a glass of green tea , thats not gonna make up for it. You need to remember caffeine is an addictive substance it works just like cigarettes and if you want that kick from caffeine than you constantly need to up your dosage , thats why i am not in favor of caffeine consumption though i have 2 cups of chai every single day but its not a good habit to have.Now caffeine give you some kind of fat loss in a short term and will get you alert after that cup of tea or coffee but real fitness and health comes from a long term gain.And three pillars of long term gains are:-

A good diet
An active lifestyle with exercise
A good sleep

Now there is a good thing about caffeine, which is most people are addicted to it which is more than three cups of coffee or green tea in a day and they dont even realise that they are addicted to it. So anyone who consume this much amount of caffeine will get addicted to it and it affects their good quality sleep which will give you more fat loss than those 3 cups of coffee and green tea.So when you want to get slip and lose weight , get good amount of sleep.

Green tea is not at all bad , there are actually some benefits of it , those antioxidants present in green tea do a lot of things to your body but i am not gonna deep into that as this post is more about green tea and weight loss.

FINAL CONCLUSION

So the final conclusion is 2 points , firstly anything in excess is bad especially when it is addictive substance like caffeine is involved so if you are gonna consume 10 cups of green tea just to lose weight , you are playing the game wrong and also you affect your sleep badly which in a long term is bad , so if you want peace of mind and happiness in life just stay away from green tea supplements and second point just because marketing agents dont sell black tea to you and but prefer green tea does not mean black tea is bad for you, it also got antioxidants and a lot of benefits ,so ideally you can do one thing change between black tea and green tea in variation but tea is addictive and you have to take not more than 2 cups in a day.

Those persons who are taking green tea are taking lazy path and this isnt long term fitness, even if you lose weight you just injected some thing to lose and do not work hard for it so its not gonna make you stick to this time for long term lifestyle. Real fitness comes in a long term ,it needs to be a lifestyle change and used to be as normal as brushing your teeth or having a bath in morning.So first make your diet and then do some exercise and get good sleep and if still you need, you can take few cups of these substance , thatshow real fitness works.

I love green tea, especially japanese green matcha tea. Tastes so earthy, so refreshing and so good for you too. I'm outta tea now and was planning on getting rid of it because of the caffeine content. But I like drinking something hot in the morning other than tea. I may get some matcha tea now.

Thank you for sharing with us i take green tea every morning and it became my habit at starting its taste was not good but after that i became habitual and now i daily used to drink it and i feel fresh and healthy than the tea or coffee. great job dear. i think ever one should use it daily.

unfortunately you just commented and not read my blog first i think i need to improve as you didnt even read the post unless you wont say this.

I never use green tea but I heard it's taste not gud. How many days will take for gud result.
