To treat internal symptoms such as digestive issues, nasal congestion and inadequate bile flow; simply infuse two grams of dried thyme in boiling purified water for five minutes before straining (Cover with a lid while steeping for best results). Drink this infusion three times daily.
To treat gum disease or tonsillitis use the above mentioned infusion as a mouthwash or gargle twice a day.
If symptoms persist consult your doctor.
To date, thyme has shown no adverse side effects, however excessive use is not recommended and I strongly recommend seeking advice on any herbal remedy from a specialist when pregnant.

Throughout the ages Thyme has been used to treat many different ailments and has even made appearances in modern medicine and commercial products. Studies have shown Thyme’s essential oil is antiseptic and is sometimes recommended for minor cuts, wounds, insect bites and stings.
Thymol, one of the compounds found in Thyme is known to be an extremely effective antimicrobial agent and can be found in many commercial mouthwashes.
