The importance of dinner
- Dinner is important for supplying energy and nutrients for body needs. Regular dietary intake is important to ensure the body gets the energy and nutrients needed to function normally. Dinner completes food intake that may be inadequate during the day as consumption of vegetables, fruits and milk. Apart from biological importance, dinner is also important to fulfill psychological and social functions. If parents work during the day, dinner is important to bring warmth among family members. This is because dinner time may be the only time to be with other family members. For psychological functions, dinner may be one of the ways to relieve your mind after a day of confronting various problems, especially for those who work.
Dinner is important to provide energy and nutrients for the needs of the body. Regular dietary intake is important to ensure the body gets the energy and nutrients needed to function normally. Below I list 8 guided walks for a healthy dinner!
Prioritize balanced meals at every dinner time. Make sure your meal contains cereals such as rice or bread, fish, chicken or legumes as well as vegetables according to the Malaysian Food Pyramid recommendation.
Limit intake of fried, fatty and oily foods. Know the size of your meal. Dinner should supply you 400-500 calories.
The ideal dinner time is between 6.30 pm to 8.30 pm. If you sleep late and feel hungry, you can take a light snack before going to bed like fruits, breads, biscuits or a warm glass of milk.
It is not recommended to take food late at night. This is because taking food close to sleep will cause discomfort and will disrupt your sleep.
Avoid eating while watching television. This is because you do not realize how much you eat while watching your favorite show.
Avoid taking tea or coffee after dinner. Tea or coffee intake can cause sleep disorders.
If you need to attend a dinner, you do not have to eat any kind of food served. Eat simply by taking a small amount of dishes. Choose a healthier diet. Prioritize fruits and water.
