Healthcare in China *4

in #healthcare5 years ago

China is unique in that as a developing country, it has a country with aging at a level comparable to most developed countries and this in turn means that the amount of public resources available for elderly care are limited.

Healthcare costs typically increase three to five times with people over the age of 65. Meanwhile, the healthcare system is funded by contributions from the employed workforce. With a reduced fertility rates for three decades, China is facing greater challenges in funding from it's salaried contributions as the work force is stifled.
