Gratitude for the mercy of God in creation.

God bless my brothers of steemit.

Psalm 136

It's another Hallelujah Psalm. Express gratitude for the mercy of God in creation, in redemption, in the fight against enemies, and for future glory. Let's read the first verse of this Psalm 136, which says:

"Praise the Lord, for he is good, for his mercy endures forever."

He has great abundance of mercy and his compassion will never end. Then, the next two verses, verses 2 and 3, say:

"Praise the God of the gods, for his mercy endureth for ever: praise the Lord of lords, for his mercy endureth for ever"

And each of the verses in this Psalm mentioned the mercy of God. He exalted her. Remember that in Ephesians 2: 4 the apostle Paul said that God is rich in mercy because of his great love for us. I want the mercy of God, and He has it in abundance. Some listeners write to us saying that they have committed some sin and ask: Do you believe that God will forgive me? Dear listener, He is rich in mercy. If you really want to be forgiven, He will forgive you. Because God treats us according to his compassion and mercy.

This was a praise to God the Creator. And note that each verse included the refrain: "For his mercy endureth for ever." Let's read now verses 5 through 9 of this Psalm 136:

"To him who made the heavens with understanding, for his mercy endures forever, who stretched out the earth on the waters, for his mercy endures forever, who made the great lights, for his mercy endures forever: the sun so that let him have dominion over the day, for his mercy endures forever: the moon and the stars, that they may rule over the night, for his mercy endures forever. "

The section that follows is of praise to God for his mercy in delivering the Israelites from captivity in Egypt. And with each step of that liberation, the psalmist repeated "because his mercy is forever". And he concluded by highlighting the mercy of God in providing them with a land. Let's read verses 21 and 22:

"And he gave their land as an inheritance, for his mercy endureth for ever: his servant is an inheritance to Israel: for his mercy endureth for ever."

Then we have the final section of this great Psalm, which has a meaning for you, for me, and for the Israelites. They say verses 23 to 26 of this Psalm 136:

"To him who in our despondency remembered us, for his mercy endureth for ever: and hath redeemed us from our enemies, for his mercy endureth for ever: to him that giveth food to every living thing, for his mercy endureth for ever. to the God of heaven, for his mercy endureth for ever! "

I do not know what your reaction will be, esteemed friend of steemit, but I feel the need to join that chorus by pronouncing that expression of praise, Hallelujah, Praise the Lord! After having extolled the greatness of our God, we fall on our knees and adore him. He is worthy to receive that praise. And when we are prostrate, He will raise us, with His mercy, with His compassion.
