Po and Opo are Filipino terms for politeness. It is a symbol of courtesy. We Filipinos are the only race in the world who has these expressions meant only for giving respect to others. Po and Opo is being inserted or added to what a person says or speak of as a sign of being considerate to someone older, someone in authority or someone in a higher level

Example 1:
since English is a universal language, we will this in our example

Father : Anak kamusta ang eskwela mo ngayong araw?(Filipino)
My child how was your school today? (English)

Child: *Napakahusay po Papa!(Filipino)
It is excellent po Papa!(English)

In this example, the word "po" is inserted in the middle of the sentence.

Example 2.

Boss : Sekretarya, ipagtimpla mo ako ng kape. (Filipino)
Secretary, make me some coffee (English)
Secretary: Opo boss (Filipino)
Yes po boss (English)

This time we used OPO. OPO is a variation of PO. OPO is used if in the beginning of your sentence or if it is the only reply you will give. Instead of answering OO, yes in English, you can answer OPO or Yes po. OPO is an affirmative reply.

This is how easy it is to use PO and OPO. When you visit the Philippines, and you want to win the hearts of its people incorporate PO and OPO into whatever you say :). If ever you wonder where to put it into your sentence, just make it the end word to your every pause. Just use one PO or OPO in a sentence.

Example 3
Maraming Salamat po (pause) sa inyong pagbabasa ng aking blog ( wasto )
Thank you very much to (pause) for reading my Blog (correct)

Maraming Salamat po (pause) sa inyong pagbabasa po (pause) ng aking blog po (pause) (mali)
Thank you very much po (pause) for reading po (pause)my blog po (wrong)

I hope you may be able to understand the explanation.
