Help when you can.

A little boy who was thrown into the streets by his drug addict mum was rescued by a mother of 5 children against the warning of her husband and immediate family. She nurtured him, fed and even sent him to school for 3 years before everything changed.

This woman in question was a petty trader while her husband a mason who hardly gets work. She sells everything from bean cake in the morning to groundnut, pure water, biscuits, sweets etc and she would send her children hawking after school so she is able to provide for the family, while the husband will spend the little he earns in the local bar.

She didn't want to send the kid hawking because, she feared what people will say, so she made sure her children went hawking while the abandoned child, stay home with her.
One faithful evening, the child sneaked out with the woman's children and went hawking with them and in the process, was seen by a man who called himself the child's father.

The story is, the child's father traveled and left the country in search of greener pastures while the boy was 2 years old and until the boy turned 6, he was nowhere to be found having married and started a family overseas which led to the mother of the child resorting to abusing drugs.
On sighting the boy on the road, the man quickly recognized him and went after him. He had been in town for over 4 months and have been searching for the child to no avail. So it was a shock seeing the child in a faraway city hawking in the company of other children

On getting to place where the boy stays, he discovered that the child was picked up on the streets by the petty trader while returning from a bush market in that part of the city. The man was overjoyed, thanked the woman and improved her lot. He took the child home and prepared his papers to fly him overseas.

Fast forward 12 years later, the boy returned as a trained businessman and one of the first thing he did was locate the woman who saved him from being rejected when his birth mum abandoned him while he was just 3 years old.
Today, that little boy was able to help the woman's children get gainfully employed and living happy and the woman is living in bliss for giving an abandoned child hope.

Help when you can and do not mistake the evil men for the good.
