Hello, fellow Helpienauts!
The team has really been working hard on polishing some things in our Helpie community, as you may have noticed. Some of the tasks and duties for Helpie's administration are being delegated as to optimize their function. This post is meant to provide some clarity on exactly what it is that we are currently doing.
New Helpie members (Helpienauts)
Nothing has changed muched regarding this, we've simply increased the amount of scouts that are actively looking for new users. Currently, we have 10+ people serving in the role.
As many know, Helpie is an invite only community. We are focused on helping Steemians who understand the potential of this blockchain, and have the hunger to grow and support others.
The ❤️heart❤️ of Helpie, from the very beginning, has been to support the good, ignore the bad. So, spammers, scammers, plagiarists and whatnot are not part of the community and we find this to be one of our strengths.
To get noticed by a Helpie scout is quite simple: Get involved with our daily trivia and join MSP Palnet discord and become an active member of the community. Of course, you could also get in touch with one of our scouts. You might recognize some them from the new Helpie logo, but a full list will be provided soon.
We encourage Helpie members to suggest candidates, and have an assiged channel for this particular purpose. If there are any questions, do reach out to any member of the team.
User Upvote Support
We've been working out the right formula and voting weights for the user support we do. As they say, the numbers have been crunched and percentages were adjusted to give us better scalability.
We need to be able to onboard more users and continue the mission. We expect this to give us the advantage of consistency, by not ever having to shutdown support for a full day for MANA recovery.
Highlighted Changes
- New users start with 2% upvote support (no delegation requirements)
- Delegating users get higher upvote support, based on delegation amount (slightly sub-linear dependence)
- Users on the Helpie Curation Trail will also get a slight bump on the upvote percentage.
- 1 upvote per day per user (delegator or not)
Special Conditions
In order to maximize Helpie's growth, we are also working along other communities and providing support for their efforts. Some of these arrangements are fundamental to our activities, and fall under this category of special conditions.
Trivia Continues
We will still be publishing STEEM trivia every day, except for days with other activities. However, the goal is to move towards two publications per day as we take on other projects, more on this in a later post.
Curation Posts
We are actively running two at the moment: @paintingangels - Music Curation and @ecopelican ran by @wilins, but we are also attempting to fill at least two more days of the week with curations.
The music curation initiative is rewarding the content it finds on top of showcasing it, and this might be the model we take moving forward. You could say we are in an experimental phase.
Announcing: Helpienaut of the Month
We've decided to help (no pun intended) the best new helper in Helpie (too many helps, we know). In other words, once a month the core team will select Helpies best new member from the bunch; the one that has engaged the most, participated of events, etc.
This new member would get extra special support for 30 days, in the way of upvotes from our community account. The idea is to help a small account by growing it with stereoids for a whole month, but with the right system of incentives. They have to stay active and continue to engage.

Please come to us with any questions or concerns regarding these changes, as always, nothing is written in stone. We are simply trying to be as efficient as possible as we grow significantly thanks to the amazing people supporting us. We're not a whale yet, but on the way.

This is abosultely beautiful and hopefully many more steemians will be able to join in this amazing project. I'm so glad to be here pretty much from the initial days thanks to @meno. I'm also open to help with @treeplanter project in a mutual beneficial support or whatever work best for both projects.
Thanks for the update. I have been curating music and art lately but mam delegation will go now. I think I will go on doing but happy to see Serena doing official ones. A vote a day seems fair, and well just lets keep growing

Sounds great! If I delegate a bit can I change my color in the discord from Orange to Frog Green? This is the sort question that keeps me up at night, when do I get frog green color in the Discord channel :^)
