Metal Block Game
I visited my jewelry store, Sri Bhanu Jewellery, today. They were hosting a game there and invited me to participate. It was a contest exclusively for women: inside a transparent glass box lay a metal block weighing 5 kilograms, which had to be retrieved by reaching through a small opening. The prize for successfully extracting it was silver merchandise worth ₹1,000. Consequently, I—along with several other women present—attempted to pull the metal block out. First, I made an attempt; when I reached inside and tried to pull it out, my fingers began to ache due to its sheer weight. I tried several times, lifting it all the way up to the rim of the opening; however, the hole was simply too small. I was unable to extract it through that narrow aperture; furthermore, as I could not maintain a firm grip on the heavy stone, it slipped from my grasp and fell back down. Subsequently, another woman gave it a try, but she, too, failed. No one was able to pull it out; eventually, we gave up the attempt and simply smiled.
