Ceaucescu's last speech.
In this building, the communist dictator Ceausescu gave his last speech. During it, thousands of people began to boo him and trample on his portraits of the dictator and his wife Elena, tired of living without light, food, and resources.
Romanian citizens were in misery and the dictator tried to silence the crowd by promising more kilos of meat, higher wages, and more toilet paper.
But those present, aware that this was yet another lie of the communist dictator, stormed the building and Ceausescu fled by helicopter with his wife.
Dozens of people were shot by Ceaucescu's loyalists, but the revolution triumphed and the communist dictator was shot on December 25, 1989.
In honor of the heroes of the revolution, this white monument was built, which, unfortunately, the mass has destroyed and filled with graffiti.
