10 first frames in the history of photography

in #history6 years ago

From the beginning of the 1800s the photographic process developed and improved, providing more and more opportunities for shooting historical moments and the surrounding world. We offer to see a selection of images that have entered the history of photography, as the first in their field.

First color landscape photography

The first color landscape, showing the world of natural colors, was filmed in 1877. Photographer Louis Arthur Ducos du Oron, a pioneer of color photography, captured the landscape in the south of France.

The first photo of a tornado

Nature sometimes demonstrates its enormous destructive power. This image of a tornado was made in 1884 in Anderson County, Kansas. Amateur photographer A.A. Adams was 22.5 km from the tornado.

The very first photo

This picture, entitled "View from the Window" in 1826, was made by the discoverer of the photograph, Joseph Nisefort Niepce. The shot is taken from the upper-floor window to the estate of Niepce in Burgundy, France. The image was obtained using a process known as heliography.

The first photo of a lightning

This photograph was taken by photographer William Jennings in 1882.

The first photo from Mars

The first image of the planet Mars was made by the spacecraft Viking-1 shortly after it landed on the red planet. A snapshot taken on July 20, 1976, was used by NASA to study the Martian landscape and its structure.

The first photo of the Moon

The first Moon was photographed by John William Draper on March 26, 1840. He received a daguerreotype image from the observatory on the roof of New York University.

First untrue photo

The first photo-drawing made in 1840 by Ippolit Bayard, who competed with Louis Daguerre, claiming the title of "father of photography." Bayard allegedly was the first to develop the photographic process, but he postponed his report on his achievement. And the agile Dager presented a report on the daguerreotype, without mentioning Bayard, who desperately made his self-portrait with a deplorable signature. It said that the inconsolable inventor drowned.

The first photo of the Earth from the Moon

The earth was photographed from the Moon on August 23, 1966. This image was obtained from the Lunar orbiter, traveling in close proximity to the Earth satellite.

The first digital photo

The first digital picture was taken in 1957; almost 20 years before Kodak engineer Steve Sasson invented the first digital camera. This is a digital scan of the picture, originally filmed. It shows the son of Russell Kirsch.

The first photo of the Sun

The first photo (daguerreotype) of the Sun was made by French physicists Louis Fizeau and Foucault Leon on April 2, 1845.
