Karabük

According to research, the Hittites first lived in Karabük. Karabük was later conquered by the Phrygian State. After the collapse of the Phrygian state, Karabük became a city of the kingdom of Bithynia.

In the 1st century BC, the Roman Empire conquered Karabük. Karabük was ruled by the Romans for many years. After the 11th century, Turks began to settle in Karabük and its surroundings. Karabük was finally conquered by the Ottoman Empire. After the breakup of the Ottoman Empire, Karabük has become a city of the Republic of Turkey.
