Last year in Istanbul, the oldest cemetery in the form of a mound has been found.

The mound consists of 35 graves, which belong to the cultures of the ancient Altaians and Turks. This sensational discovery shocked historians altogether. The approximate age of the mound is 3500 years. It was previously believed that Turkish nomads appeared in Turkey after the battle of Malazgirt (1071). But after discovering a magnificent burial place, one can say that the nomadic settlements in Istanbul are still in 1200-1500 BC. (Iron Age).

There were also found jars with deceased ash. This means that in the Turkish culture body is cremated. With every new discovery, Istanbul gets older :)

The personal owner of the historic land in Turkey is trying to sell his property.
This is the ancient city of Bargilia. Founded in the V century BC. By 2015, the cost is $ 9.6 million, now the owner is ready to give it for 8.35 million dollars. I wonder why the state does not want to buy back the land where the city is located.
Territory in private ownership since 1927. Landowners do not allow excavation. But black archaeologists do not fall asleep. Many have been looted. It is located next to Bodrum.
Bargilia is an ancient city that survives from Roman and Hellenistic times. Among the ruins - a temple, columns, city walls and cemeteries. To do construction work in the old city area is prohibited.

Several years ago, the Persian settlement was found in Amasya.
According to Professor Shevket Denemes, archaeologist from Istanbul, these findings will change the entire history of Anatolian religion. Since 2007, more than a thousand artefacts have been sent to the Istanbul archaeological museum. The main discovery is the temple, which refers to early Zoroastrianism. Although this trend appears in Iran, but Anatolia is also one of the ancient religious sanctuaries. Today there are about 130-150 thousand people who respect Zoroastrianism.

In the famous Cappadocia at Nevsehir castle in the underground city found a church with beautiful frescoes.
The church and its interior decorations are perfectly maintained due to the fact that they are underground. Since 2016, work is under way to recover it. The frescoes that adorn the church are very strange. The scene on the canvas has never been seen before. Estimates of church age date back to the 5th century. This place could be a pilgrimage center for Christians. At the fresco there is a picture of Christ crucified on the cross and its ascension. There is a picture of Christ when the fish is released from his hand.
