  • The German Reich breaks off diplomatic relations with Soviet Russia. All Russian diplomats are expelled. The occasion is the discovery of anti-German propaganda material at the Berlin courier of the Soviet Russian Embassy.

  • In his final answer to the government of the German Reich, US President Thomas Woodrow Wilson agrees to talks between a German Armistice Commission and General Ferdinand Foch.

  • Hamburg soldiers and workers call for a general strike at a joint event.
