Paintings of the past era: front-line roads of the Kuban

Hello, Steemians! Hi, friends! Today, before the wonderful victory of the Russian people, I would like to show you pictures of wartime paintings created by our talented artists.

During the great Patriotic war, the Kuban, like many other regions of the country have experienced misfortune and destruction, she was captured by the enemy. With August 1942 Krasnodar as much as 6 months was in occupation, and only to February 1943 in city was able enter Red Army, and those terrible 186 days for local population ended.

During these may holidays, I decided to show an exhibition of paintings and sculptures, paintings and drawings created at different times by artists, veterans and people who remember those harsh war years not by hearsay.

To begin the story of the events of those years, I want work that opens the exhibition, dedicated to the liberation of the Kuban from the Nazi invaders. However, this is not just a photo of a man and a woman, it is a human memory of our roots, memories of those who fought bravely and gave their lives for our bright future.

Veterans remember those terrible years when the whole country was under arms and went to defend their native land, even the girls.

Many Kuban artists chose the theme of war as the main theme for their work. So, the work of Alexander Gluhovtsev devoted partisans.

Those who could not leave the city before the occupation were in terrible conditions. The children were frightened and, remembering those days, they wrote:

I was impressed by a series of drawings by Sergei Dudko, which are painted with ordinary coal on paper.

All his sketches are based on documentary facts and reveal many events of wartime. And this sketch the artist made in 1985 and it is called "light of guerrilla fires". Look at the features of this person, how much sadness in his eyes.
