Today is D-Day June 6, 2019 and This is to Honor a World War II Veteran that Was My Step Father............
Coney, Dean Pat, b. 11/02/1925, d. 06/16/1985, US Marine Corps, CPL, Res: Romoland, CA.
Rest in Peace Dean and Thank you for Sharing with Me What it Was Like to Have The Courage to Do Whatever it Took !

This is All of The Ribbons and Decorations Awarded to Him............
My Step Father (Dean) Was in the Pacific Theatre.....
WW II Medal
Occupation Service Medal
U.S. Marine Corps Semper Fidelis Medal (Marksmanship)
My Step Father was Also a Purple Heart Recipient but I do not have that Medal to Show you since his Brother took it, He Was Shot in the Back by a Japanese Soldier. My Step Father made it Back from Iwo Jima but Many did Not.

Indeed. My grandfather, his brother and his brother’s-law were all in the Navy in the Pacific during WWII. All Naval Academy grads. His sisters were all WAVES.
