Steem Crypto Challenge : Bitcoin Is Booming (100% Power Up)
Holla mi Steemiams, am here again to take part in the challenge for more enlightenment. Stay with me while I talk to you about Ethereum.
INTRODUCTION
Ethereum is a decentralized open source blockchain with smart contract features. While Ether(ETH) is the cryptocurrency token of Ethereum platform. Ether is the second-largest cryptocurrency by market capitalization after Bitcoin. Ethereum is the most actively used blockchain in the world and is also a peer-to-peer electronic cash system.
Vitalik Buterin who is a cryptocurrency researcher and programmer launched ether on 30th if July 2025. Ether the world's second largest cryptocurrency by market cap. It is also decentralized which mean you dont need a third party for transactions.
WHY ETHEREUM IS MY FAVORITE
I Chose Etherem as my favorite cryptocurrency for many reasons, below are some of the reasons for you to know why;
- It allows individuals and companies to do much more than just transfer money between themselves.
- Ethereum has many use cases like using it as a peer to peer transfer and also to create your own ICO. It can also be used to put data onto the blockchain.
- Ethereum are used for smart contracts.
- It is decentralized, that means no company or bank that can decide to print more ETH or control your ETH.
-ETH is divisible up to 18 decimal places which means you can buy ETH in small fractions as little as 0.000000000000000001 ETH.
I knew about Ether through my friends in 2018 into 2019. I picked interest mostly because it supports smart contracts where you earn automatically by completing some automated tasks.
MY EXPERIENCE WITH BITCOIN
My experience with Ether so far is great and the best was these year. During the lockdown I had ventured into million.money smart contract that is done on Trustwallet app using Ether as their source of funding. As at when I did it Ether was about $120 so I played my part in the smart contract and earned massively. While my friends were complaining for lack of money, I was foing just fine because I invested in ethereum and from the proceeds bought a new Samsung phone, paid Bill's and took care of other needs.
ETHEREUM CURRENT PERFORMANCE
Between march and now ethereum has risen over 400% its former price and for that I would say it is performing very well with its value increasing drastically. The current price for Ether is;
- Ethereum/Dollar = $595.37
- Ethereum/Naira = #294,216
These shows that Ether is doing fine and would continue to gain value and favor everyone who has invested in it in one way or another or are using it for smart contracts.
BITCOIN FUTURE PROSPECT
As Ether increases in value I foresee a bright future for it especially if withing few months it has increased in value over 300%. As these year end I am speculating it to hit $650 or kore. See the prediction for Ether below;
AccoAccording to the LongForecast, Ethereum is in for a rather brighter future. Although it predicts that ETH will close the year 2020 at a disappointing $369, it foresees encouraging growth throughout 2021, hitting highs of $710 in August before ending up at a value of $538 by the end of December 2021.
MY PLAN
I am soon going to buy more Ether and accumulate them as savings which is far better than saving in the bank were Imake no profits. I urge every steemians and any other person reading this to invest in Ether as soon as possible and avoid missing out on it's blessings. Ripple is the 3rd rated cryptocurrency after Ether by market capitalization and I love it so much as a cryptocurrency. Ripple is meant for transfer of other currencies or commodities (gold or oil) over the Ripple network and the current price for ripple is
- Ripple/Dollar = $0.47787
- Ripple/Naira = #230

This is so far my review on Ether, I hope you understood why I like Ether and also why you should invest in it. Ether has a bright future as an electronic currency so don't hesitate to invest in it.

After Bitcoin, ethereum is the next coin leading the market. Many other crypto currency token has built on top of ethereum. I strongly believe that it is a good token to invest into.

The fast rise of ethereum is amusing me it considered as the second best, you talked about smart contrast, that is eth feature I love so much it eliminate third party in transaction. The only problem eth has is the high gas price charge by the the block chain we hope it should be fixed soon. Thanks for sharing this content with us

Yes it is rising drastically and the smart cintrat is a soft way to earn money using Eth.
