Do You Remember...

It was sunny. We were at the park. A beautiful day and a beautiful weather. The kids were having a blast, as they always do, especially in that age. Birds were flying. We could hear them singing from above. It felt like a whisper. It was mixed with other people's conversations, making a mixture of a joyful background sound. It was something about that day, that I cannot forget. I am still unsure what. We were standing, right before the sea. Looking at each other. Talking about random things, and jumping from a topic to another. It was our interest of listening to each other more than the importance of that conversation itself. Do you remember...

He was quiet. He did not reply at all. He was just staring at her, trying to remember anything of what she said. But, he repeats the question in his mind, who is she?! She seemed to know me very well. Or, maybe someone who just looks the same.

Their daughter came in. She whispered in her mother's ears: You know what the doctors' say, he cannot remember. She replied: even if he does not remember any of it. But, I remember who he is, and I am sure if the roles were reversed, he would do the same.
