Hodlonauts Take Over Twitter in Defiance of Craig Wright Threats

Craig Wright, the man who claims to be Satoshi Nakamoto (but isn't) has threatened a libel lawsuit against hodlonaut for allegedly calling Wright a "fraud" on Twitter. Wright is offering a bounty of $5,000 worth of shitcoins for anyone who is willing to dox the space cat. Thanks to those antics, there are now hundreds, maybe thousands of Twitter users with the name hodlonaut calling Craig Wright a fraud.

Who is Hodlonaut?

... we are all Hodlonaut!

Hodlonaut is a cat that lives in outer space. He is also the creator of the Lightning Network Trust Chain, a fun payment experiment on Bitcoin's layer-two protocol which made it's way around the world to 292 different participants. To be honest, I'm surprised Craig Wright wasn't claiming to be Hodlonaut to begin with.

The Birth of the Lightning Network Trust Chain

The young astro-cat set off to light the torch, with expectations of a few pass alongs. Little did he know it would reach the hands of Jack Dorsey, CEO of Twitter/Square, Reid Hoffman, Co-founder of LinkedIn and more high profile entrepreneurs on its journey. The #LNTrustChain went on to defy monetary sanctions, getting passed from a user in Iran to the Tel Aviv Bitcoin Embassy in Israel on its way to dozens of countries around the world.

The Torch Has Landed

Today the torch reached its final destination: BTC Venezuela, a humanitarian aid project for Venezuelans during the current crisis. A total of ₿0.0429 BTC was received thanks to all participants of the Lightning Network Trust Chain. But mostly, thanks to hodlonaut! Without the space kitty we would never have been able to witness a test of the Lightning Network on such a grand scale.
