Now why would anyone want to follow our curation trail? We are using our up-votes to reward our community members, including our vendors, our conributors and other outstanding community members that are prioritizing sustainability in their lives. Later this week we will also start voting for some plankton/minnows that we want to see succeed in steem. By following our curation trail you will be adding more rewards to those who we vote for in our communities.

How to Follow Our Curation Trail on SteemAuto

You can follow @homesteaderscoop curation trail, which means you would automatically upvote the accounts and posts that we vote for. Instructions to follow our curation trail:

1. Sign in to https://steemauto.com/ with your account via SteemConnect
2. Click on Curation Trail button
3. In the Search for a Trail search box enter homesteaderscoop and click search
4. When you find us, click Follow
5. Click on Settings
6. Here's the most important part: You can change the voting weight percentage (%). Default settings is to scale into the vote at 50%. That means if we vote 20% on someone, you will vote 10%. If we vote 100%, you vote on them at 50%. I am tuning our homesteaderscoop account to make use of our voting power and ideally never quite hits 100%. So you should decide a % of your voting power you are comfortable sharing with the people we reward with votes. It depends on your voting habits and how much spare voting power you have on a regular basis. You can adjust it higher or lower at any time, you can also un-follow a trail at any time or pause a trail at any time.

AutoVote for @homesteaderscoop posts on SteemAuto

This is not required for this giveaway, but if you want to auto-vote for our Homesteaders Co-op account posts, this is how you would do that:

If you want to auto vote for us or anyone else on steem for that matter, SteemAuto's Fan section is a nice way to do that! Login to SteemAuto as described above, Search for an account you want to auto vote for and choose the voting strength. You will get the best rewards if you set auto votes to around 15 minutes delay from the time of posting.

Another feature SteemAuto has on the dashboard is "Limit on Mana". I recommend raising this from 70% to 80%, in case the settings you choose plus your own personal voting habits drain your mana (voting power) too fast, you still have a higher reserve and it doesn't take as long to regenerate.

Important note you have 11 full 100% votes a day without over draining your mana reserves. Its up to you how you want to slice that up - e.g. you could use 110 10% votes a day with the same effect :)
