How Much Time Do You Have Left? Before all the food you get, is what you have grown.

How much time do you have left?

If you live in a large city, how much time do you have left before you cannot:

• leave the city at all
• leave the city and get a place in the country
• leave the city and get a place in the country and grow your own food.

Yes, i know that many people have been talking about the apocalypse for many years now... and it hasn't happened yet.
It hasn't happened today, so it won't happen tomorrow.

Everyone who has been watching knows its coming.
The train wreck is happening, and we cannot look away.

But, when?

In airplane design there is a thing called "stall speed".
This is the speed at which the plane goes from flying to falling.
One mile per hour over this speed, and everything is fine in the plane.
0.0001 mph under this speed and you are falling towards the earth. (hope you have a parachute)

There is no nice, gradual signs that anything is wrong.
It is, one minute, everything is fine, the next minute everything is NOT.

One minute the sheep is fine, the next minute the sheep has hit the rotating air circulatory device.

How long do you have?

Well, how long do you need?

Let's say that you were @papa-pepper and you have the will, drive, stamina (and some steembucks) to start a family farm. Well, it has been two years and he is just getting his first harvest. I would say that he is still a few years from having the garden and infrastructure to eat wholly off of his property. (and he will still be living in a trailer)

So, if you are living in a city today, and you knew that grocery stores would be bare in 3 years, do you still have time?

What is happening is plain to see.
Our crops in The US are failing. The summer is blisteringly hot (burning the crops) and the winters are especially cold... and long. Next year it will be worse.

We are entering an ice age. And although it will be short, as ice ages go, it will still be longer than most people's expected life spans.

So, do you have time to build a farm and a LARGE greenhouse that can provide food year round?

There are many more earthquakes happening. There are many more volcanoes going off. More volcanoes than you know exist. (thanks MSM for failing to report reality)

Land masses are going to be moving. Parts of New York and San Francisco is going to be underwater. On the flip side, all the hotels in Miami will be further from the ocean.

As such huge changes in the flow of goods, especially food are disrupted, how long will you have from when this domino falls to pick up and relocate?

And these natural disasters can be construed as speculation, but signs of them are already happening.

Its not just natural disasters

There are bigger things happening, and all you have to do is look at anyone but the MSM to see them happening.

Monsanto is destroying farmland faster than the rain forest is being chopped down.
Supposedly these new "super"-crops are supposed to produce more with less water, however, their yields have been dropping.

All over the soil is being depleted, and it will take years to revitalize, even with modern organic methods.
Further, the huge food corporations are outsourcing the growing. It is cheaper to ship that produce from South America then to grow anything in The US.

Then you have the currency collapse that IS coming. The debt is growing faster than at ALL times in history, put together. The debt and derivative bubble are going to pop and world wide shipping is going to stop. (it always has. It will get going again as new money is agreed upon)

So, just when we are going to need it most, American farm land is going to fail to provide the food that American's need.

Are you prepared?

During the Irish Potato Famine it was not that potatoes where too expensive, it was that there wasn't enough edible potatoes available at any price.

In Venezuela they are currently eating anything that moves.
In The US, we think we are all safe and sound, nothing to worry about... with our 3 days of food in the system.

...just THREE DAYS to tide us over any catastrophe: climate, economic, destroyed farm land...

How long do you have left?

In under a decade you will need to be growing all of your own food, or be doing something that a farmer continually needs and will trade food for.

But i have family to support and all the jobs are in the city!
And, with this mentality, 95% of the people will die.

Getting out of the city will only happen for those who see it coming. By the time you hear anything on the news, there will probably be military check points. (congestion and lack of gasoline, too.)

Further, if you get out of the city, but have no where already prepared for you to go... well, good luck.

At this point, you really need to focus on feeding yourself and your family.
Everything else is trivial in comparison.

But, i am sure the next year will be fine, the food will only be a little more expensive.
