The unplanned Steemit vacation

It's been a while since I managed a post, and I can't blame it all on the royal forking. It's been a busy week, which began with finally finishing the clipping from the goats' last job. Here's what it looked like when they started.

After a month of endless snacking and a lot of work on my part, here's what it looks like.

If my customer could afford it, I could have had the goats there for six months, but she only wants to focus on keeping the blackberries from covering the house.

I've been farm-sitting for my friend this week. She's the one who adopted the kittens I rescued a few months ago. Here's what they looked like when I had them.

Here they are now. The little boy on the left is named Ace, and the girl is Winnie, because I found them in a Winnebago.

I was taking care of her goats, too. They were pretty easy to care for, since they have a huge pasture to chew on and really only needed their water checked.

That's the new little buck. He's too young to be stinky yet, and he's super friendly. The big buck will be sold so they can keep the gene pool from stagnating, and this little guy will take his place. The older buck has gotten quite bossy now that breeding season is in full swing. The older wether (neutered male) used to be in charge of the herd, but the buck took over. Whitey is a pretty depressed and hangs out by himself. I made sure to give him lots of love when I was there.
