Loads of Flowers - July 7, 2019 @goldenoakfarm
In the Crabapple garden, the perennial sweet peas are flowering
They are lovely, but have no scent
This quince has a lot of fruit on it. The little one we transplanted isn’t looking very good. This one has to be moved too, into the Big garden. I will probably lose all the fruit. Hopefully it will do better than the little one has.
Hollyhocks in the V garden
These will be being moved soon. I don’t have a good track record moving perennial hollyhocks.
South garden – hollyhocks with 4 O’Clocks behind them
These fortunately will not be moved.
South Herb garden – meadowsweet preparing to take over the garden
South Herb garden – chicory doing excellently
This was a surprise plant. I thought I had planted sorrel there…..
West Shed garden - daylilies
New Herb garden – Row 3, bee balm
I planted this last month, a gift from BuyNothing. There are 2 of them and this one has started to flower.
New Herb garden – Row 1, elecampane
This plant is over 6’ high and has just started to flower.
4th Fence garden – Phlox and daylilies
These phlox are my husband’s favorites. So that’s the highlights of the gardens this week.

Your elecampane is mighty! Mine are still small, but they are many and growing. Something likes eating little holes in the leaves. The chickens will fix that soon :)

Or maybe make bigger ones....The few times chickens have been lose in the gardens was pretty damaging...
