Got to eat our first peach out of the Food Forest today. Our little Food Forest is about one and a half years old. So we weren't expecting to much out of the trees yet. But I'm so great full we were able to taste a peach this year. We may get one more peach off the tree this year. The other two peach trees didn't set any fruit.

The peach tatsed great! It was very juicy. Had a bit of a crunch on the out side as you bit through the skin. The "meat" of the peach was soft and sweet and had me wanting another after it was gone.

How great is it going to be in a few more years when our 3 peach trees will be giving us more peaches then we can eat.

We used to have a peach tree here in New Brunswick, it was a great three years of production. Then winter took a heavy toll one year and we lost her :(

Hopefully I won't have to worry about that here in North Carolina.

naw, you'll probably have some sort of invasive insect to contend with!
