I don't have strong woodworking skills. I have lot to learn. And I mostly learn through how other people are doing through simple projects. By doing simple things you can learn a lot of skills. If you want to do something using wood that can be helpful at home, then you should check out some of the projects curated here. In this curation post, I am listing some of the simple yet usefu woodworking projects that you can do at home.

I am sure you are used to the cutting board in the house. Now modern cutting boards are made up of fiber. But in past the cutting boards used to be made up of bamboo or the strong wood. Especially for cutting the meat, there used to be a strong wooden board. So here you're going to learn how to make one such board using simple method. Also this can be done at home. So I'd recommend checking out the tutorial.

Wood Plank Wine Rack
Another good project. If you have some kitchen items to keep. Or if you have any items such as Wine bottles to keep in the rack. Then you'd find this one handy. As you can see this wine rack can be really handy where you can easily keep a lot of material on shelf. And this may be handy for keeping other items too if you make some modifications. I'd recommend checking the tutorial if you have any other tangent plans to make a rack.
