Star fruit is a tree that reaches a height of 5 m with a stem that is not too big. In Indonesia, starfruit is used as a vegetable with thinly sliced ​​and mixed into several types of cuisine, the goal is to eliminate the fishy smell and can also be eaten like other vegetables.

However, Acehnese use starfruit not just as vegetables, starfruit is processed into sunti acid.
Sunti acid is an additional seasoning for Aceh cuisine, although not all Aceh dishes use sunti acid.
Sunti acid itself is the result of star fruit that has undergone several stages of drying so that star fruit becomes dry and durable.

The way of making sunti acid is not so difficult, the way is:

• Take star fruit
• Boil with boiling water
  Then dry in the sun
• At starfruit in the sun do not forget in a sprinkle of salt.
• Drying done a few days until the star fruit is completely dry and durable.
• It takes a lot of salt for 5 kg of starfruit can spend 1 kg of salt.
