Things to do before the winter comes at the Squat - Living Free- One Year Anniversary

The last few days has been cooler and so its much more comfortable to get things done outside. I'm comparable to a lettuce in relationship with the sun. After 10 mins of being in direct sunlight, I go brown and melt! I needed to cut and over hanging tree that caused the original damage on the cabin when we arrived. Ive repaired it once, and don't want it to happen again! There was a tree dropping leaves on the roof and blocking the guttering which caused the kitchen floor to rot away over the years that the place was unoccupied.
Yesterday we got round to taking down a tree and getting further on with the new compost toilet.
Looks like we had a hurricane, but it was all planned don't worry! Knock Knock.. Who's there? A TREE!
The tree was overhanging much more than I thought but it had no heavy branches and so it was ok to just cut it down. After it slowly fell it was now resting with two branch on the edge of the cabin roof.
Slowly free'd the tree from the roof and dissected it whilst it was hanging in the air..

Of course I did damage the roof, but no stress because its fixed already! Which was lucky as its now raining since this morning..

And this to cut up! I found online a second hand electric chainsaw, which iI can buy in a few days, its so cheap also!
I found some time ago, a nice compost toilet which I want to use. I started ages ago on building a compost toilet and we had just a temporary one over winter. All the materials apart from the screws are from the trash and here is how its looking now!
Today I got a new toy which will help me a lot...
We have been here now this week, for one whole year and nobody has even came to visit us. Nobody will ever come up here in the winter and so we know if nobody comes in the summertime, that we have another year of peaceful occupation.
