Honda Launches First Reverse Gear Bike In India

Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India on Saturday started the delivery of all new Gold Wing Bike in India.

The motorcycle is equipped with reverse gear technology and has a price tag of Rs.26.85 lakh. The first look of the bike was revealed in Auto Expo 2018 where it emerged as a show stopper for Honda.

Yadvinder Singh Guleria, Senior Vice President, Sales and Marketing, Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India said, "The 2018 Gold Wing was the showstopper of the Honda Two Wheelers pavilion at the Auto Expo. After receiving an overwhelming response and over 35 bookings, we are pleased to announce the first delivery of the 2018 Gold Wing."

The Bike has a powerful engine with a displacement of 1833cc with 170 Nm torque. The new engine is also equipped aluminum cylinder and a shorter, stiffer crank. The engine is mated to a 7-Speed Dual Clutch Transmission (DCT) and is also the first motorcycle from Honda to get a wishbone front suspension.

The buttons on the handlebar control the gearshift and always have the chance to let DCT function fully automatically, and the bike will upshift and downshift on its own.

The new 2018 Honda Gold Wing is also the first motorcycle which is installed with Apple Car Play integration.

Some other features of the bike that makes it worth riding includes electric windscreen adjustable for angle and height and Smart key control, Cruise control, which adds convenience for ignition and luggage.
