You may find a way to do both of two different things: what you need to do and what you want to do.
Let's say you have a small kid, but you want to work.
You may find a job at which you can work from home.
Or you may need a stable income to make a living, so you want to continue working for the company, but you want to write Manga, and you talk to your boss about it.
Your boss may offer you a short-time work.

It is a good time for negotiation.
But I want to remind you that the company will treat you better if you are modest and considerate.
What I mean is that you do have the right to claim what you want and need, but do not take it for granted.
Express your gratitude towards the company, which tries taking your situation into account.
The company could be arrogant during the negotiation, but it may be better not to show the anger towards it if you want to keep working at the company.

If you have complaints about the company, maybe you can share it with your colleagues.
Your colleagues could be feeling the same, and sharing could improve your relationships with them.
And it will help you to bear working at the company until you decide to leave.

Maybe in one month, some of you may find the right place for yourself, so be patient.
The right place may not necessarily be a new place.
Maybe you find that your current place is for yourself, and decide to stay there for some time, if not for your whole life.

あなたが今まで大切にしてきたものと、あなたがこれからやりたいと思っていること、その二つを上手く両立できる道が見つかるのかもしれない。
例えば、あなたには小さい子供がいるのだけど、仕事もやりたいと思っているとして、良い在宅の仕事が見つかるのかもしれないし。
例えば、収入は必要なんだけど、どうしても漫画を描きたい、と思っているとして、会社に相談してみたら、時短を提案された、とか。

交渉するのにいい時ではあるんだけど、気をつけたいことがあって。
会社は会社のことを大切に思ってくれる従業員を大切にするということ。
なので、あまりにも「会社と私は対等なパートナーで、私は私の権利を主張する権利がある」みたいな態度で臨むのはやめたほうがいいかもしれない。
仮に会社があなたを駒程度にしか思ってないことがひしひしと感じられても、そのことを口に出さないほうがいい時かもしれない。
今後も会社と上手くやっていきたいのであれば、だけど。

会社への不満がたまっているのであれば、同僚に打ち明けると、意外に同僚も同じ不満を抱えていて、意気投合できて関係が深まる時でもあるかもしれない。
会社を辞める決意ができるまでの、その場しのぎにはなると思う。
もう１ヶ月もすればしっくりくる居場所が見つかる人もでてくると思うので、それまでの辛抱かな。
居場所というのは、必ずしも新しい場所を意味しないけどね。
ひょっとしたら、たんに今の居場所の良さを再確認して、今後も今の居場所でやっていく覚悟ができるだけかもしれないけど。
