Satans slaves again incised amazing achievement. After becoming a box office in Hong Kong, Joko Anwar's horror film is now successfully won the Best Film Awards in the Overlook Film Festival 2018 held recently.
In the film festival held in the United States, Satans slaves managed to outperform a number of other finalists. Among them are Hereditary, Do not Leave Home, and Upgrade. In his review, the Overlook Film Festival 2018 rated Satans slaves as an iconic and terrifying horror film.

The Story Line
There are two things that often make Bondi (Nasar Anuz) fear in his own home. The first is the window of his room directly facing the cemetery. The elementary school boy often imagined there would be a living corpse that rose from one of the tombs there.
One more thing that frightened her was the mother (Ayu Laksmi) lying in the upstairs room and gnawed by a mysterious illness. Her mother was now very pale face, sometimes gasping and opening her mouth wide as out of breath.

Luckily there is the eldest Rini (Tara Basro) and his sister Toni (Endy Arfian), who painstakingly cares for their mother and their youngest sister, Ian (M. Adhiyat). Although his father (Bront Palarae) cultivates his mother's treatment, fate says otherwise. The mother died and was buried in a cemetery near the house.

Satu hal lagi yang membuatnya takut adalah sang ibu (Ayu Laksmi) yang terbaring di kamar lantai atas dan digerogoti penyakit misterius. Ibunya itu kini berwajah sangat pucat pasi, kadang megap-megap dan membuka lebar-lebar mulutnya seperti kehabisan napas.

Satu-satunya cara untuknya berkomunikasi dengan anak-anaknya adalah melalui lonceng yang ia bunyikan. Beruntung ada si sulung Rini (Tara Basro) dan adiknya Toni (Endy Arfian), yang telaten mengurusi sang ibu serta adik terkecil mereka, Ian (M. Adhiyat). Meski sang ayah (Bront Palarae) mengusahakan pengobatan sang ibu, takdir berkata lain. Sang ibu meninggal dunia dan dimakamkan di kuburan dekat rumah.
Terbelit kebutuhan ekonomi, sang ayah lantas meninggalkan rumah, pergi ke luar kota dan menitipkan keluarganya di tangan dua anak tertuanya.
Tak lama setelah itu, kejadian aneh mulai dialami keluarga ini. Bahkan kejadian nahas menimpa sang nenek (Elly D Luthan), yang sudah merasa bahwa suatu kekuatan jahat tengah melingkupi keluarga mereka. Rini akhirnya tergerak untuk menyelidiki hal ini.
