Most People Are Living in Their Time of Sleep...

Hello, dear friends!

I know the first thing that came to your head when you read the title of this blog post:

That it is going to be just another article about the true necessity of sleep and rest when you want to live a productive life.

I am not here to talk about the cycle of sleep, as in resting your mind and body every 24 hours, but I want to talk about how each and every one of us are living a life of ignorance on a daily basis.

This is what I would like to think of as people’s Time of Sleep.

Almost everyone has been a dreamer at some point in their life. Dreaming and thinking in big terms for our lives have always been one of our best qualities as a species on this planet.

A lot of people go a step further and take steps to realize those dreams.

They become powerhouses filled with excitement and motivation that fuels their harsh and dangerous journey.

But as hard as we might find to confess the ultimate truth, we all spend most of our time asleep.

What do I mean by that?

Even though you may have big ideas, it is in the nature of your brain to be forgetful of its most important faculties.

What we think of as ‘mindfulness’ is our greatest asset in this world, and it is also the most neglected concept in the whole of philosophy and collective wisdom regarding motivation and productivity.

Despite our purest intentions and best efforts, we spend most of our daily time absent-minded, our minds wandering places that have nothing new or progressive for our life.

Our absentmindedness compels us to forget our priorities, and that in turn adversely affects our productivity.

Suffice to say, most of us think that we sleep 6 or 7 hours a day, when in truth we spend most of it sound asleep without even knowing it.

A person who is truly awake would jump at the opportunity of working for their dreams.

A person who understands the value of time and the stakes that are currently at play in their lives would not dare to waste a single moment.

No emotional response or incentive of any kind could trigger a person who is truly awake.

But those who live their lives in a state of bliss are indeed capable dreamers, but they cannot bring themselves to do anything for those dreams.

That is why they spend most of their time asleep.

If you truly want to be awake, become mindful of your every waking moment.

Think about the passage of time, about the ticking of the clock, and how every moment is a lost opportunity that can never be gained again.

Only then will you be able to stay awake at its purest form.

Any other mental state and you can be sure that you are only feeling the sensation of being awake, when in truth you are sound asleep.
