How to cook your favorite Calamares !
Easy Steps on how to cook Calamares.
Ingredients:
1 large sized squid, cleaned and sliced into rings
1 pc beaten egg
Breadcrumbs
1 tsp salt
½ tsp ground black pepper
1 tsp kalamansi juice
1 pc garlic
2 cups cooking oil
Marinate squid in salt, garlic, kalamansi juice and ground black pepper for 20- 30 minutes.
Dip the squid in beaten egg and coat with breadcrumbs.
In a hot pot, pour oil and when oil is hot enough, deep-fry the squid until it turns brown. This would only take about 2 to 3 minutes in medium heat. Do not overcook the squid.
Remove the fried squid from the cooking pot and plate.
Serve with your type of soy sauce.
