Holidays actually result in higher productivity. That's right, even if you do not think about getting away from work and enjoying leisure activities, it helps your body and your mind to relax and recover from the stress that can be on your body throughout your workdays.
When you are exhausted, you may not do your job with the efficiency and productivity you are capable of. That does not benefit you or your employer. Therefore, the next time you think you are too busy to take a break.

For many of us, family, work and personal obligations can make it really difficult to unplug and unplug. But there is good news for those who have difficulty getting away for the day, much less for a prolonged trip. Short breaks or "mental vacations" can help you improve your mood, increase your productivity and reduce stress. Leaving your desk for a walk in the park, meditating for ten minutes in the morning or afternoon and spending a weekend "disconnected" and outdoors can do wonders.
So, even if you can not book that dream trip to Tahiti, you can still take a long weekend here and there to disconnect from your busy working world.
