What If They Gave A Protest And Nobody Came

This is the Riverfront Pavilion in Ft. Smith Arkansas, the site of a protest aimed at supporting the Mueller probe. It was to be a part of a string of nationwide protests at over 800 locations all occuring at 5:00 PM. I was going to go down and see how many turned up, but I had an invitation to watch an exclusive screening of Lavoy Finicum: Dead Man Talking at 6:00. As it turns out, it looks like I would have been wasting my time going... except for the rain, the Pavilion looked pretty much the same last night as it does in the picture.

In all fairness, there was a light drizzle last night at 5:00. This morning I scoured the local news site for any reports on the protest... NOTHING. Up north of us in Fayetteville about 100 protesters showed up, which could be expected- it's the home of the University of Arkansas. Also it didn't rain up there, but I would have expected a better turnout.

in Loch Lomand using a pole and line... thank God he wasn't noodling! Both Jeff and the fish are doing well- Jeff turned it loose to fight another day after photographing the monster.
