Handkerchief and Hygiene 手帕与微生

Handkerchief is used by certain people, and apparently it is not popular nowadays since the alternative is the disposable tissues. Perhaps, the preference of tissue paper over handkerchiefs is on the assumption of hygiene. The assumption is that a used tissue paper is disposed and that would reduce the spread of germs, whereas, a handkerchief is used and carried with germs enclosed after the person has sneezed on it.

The assumption of the disposable tissues is more hygienic can be disputed. In fact, hygiene is related more to healthy habit than the external items. Taking tissue paper as an example, the tissue paper thoughtlessly disposed after use can be a cause of germ-spreading.

Today, people do not carry handkerchiefs but mobile phones. A mobile phone can also be contaminated by germs. Therefore, it is important to inculcate a healthy habit whether using handkerchief or tissue paper.

今天手帕已经不再流行即使还有人使用它，显然一次性纸巾是普遍的替代品；其实使用纸巾比手帕更微生是一项假设。

使用纸巾会减少细菌的传播，而手帕则因为重復使用，并且人在其上打喷嚏形成了带菌管道；如此便以为使用一次性纸巾较为微生乃是一个争议性的假设。事实上，是否卫生是更多的和健康习惯而非外在应用物品有关。以纸巾为例，使用后无意识地丢弃它可能就是细菌传播的一个原因。

今天，人们不携带手帕，而却是手机不离手；手机也可能受到了细菌污染。所以，无论是使用手帕还是纸巾，灌输健康的习惯其实是更为重要的事。
