Are IEOs the new form of ICO?

I stumbled on this and cannot help but wonder what will happen after now. Before now, it was ICOs that dominated the headlines driving many into wealth as well as poverty.

Of late, exchanges started offering tokens to investors from their platforms in a system that is called Initial Exchange Offering, and so far, it has been a big hit.

Multivac did their offering on the Kucoin platform and it sold out in less than 10 seconds, 7 seconds to be exact.

If this was to be done on the regular ico platforms, I doubtnif the sales would have been concluded in 30 days.

One thing I am worried about is the fact that, the exchanges will become too powerful and also a major determinant in what token will be sold.
Some scam projects could also get on the exchanges after paying so much and covering their dirty sides.

What will this be for us? Are IEOs the most secured way to go? Will this help investors against loss of funds.
