IICSA exposes just how prominent figures get away with everything and anything...

It's always been my intention to offer my own review of the Public hearings looking at Westminster and the decades of child abuse committed by many who call themselves "honourable Gentlemen/Women". I'm now in a position to begin this process, but I have to admit that it's difficult to know exactly where to start...

Over the last few days I've been furiously taking notes, while watching hours of footage from the recent public inquiry into Westminster. I've still got a lot more to listen too, but already I have pages of information that highlight some of the major taking points.

I'm going to try split things up into bite-size chunks, because I really do not want to lose your attention by flooding you with information.

So here goes...

Part 1 - The Club's Office

As described by Former Superintendent, Robert Glen, an Inspector inside The Club's Office(1977-1978), this unit of the police was set up in a way like no other. It's bespoke hierarchy consisted of a Superintendent who had an Inspector beneath him and the Inspector who had a group of Detectives and Constables under his direct control.
The role of the Club's Office was split into two units. One unit was tasked with investigating crimes of Vice(Prostitution), whilst the other unit would investigate obscene publications.

In 1977, Robert Glen was Inspector for the Club's Office and his Superior was someone named Superintendent Parry. Unfortunately, this arrangement wasn't to last very long...

There were no clear reason given for the departure of Superintendent Parry, other than it being stated "he suddenly went on holiday to Hong Kong ". After listening to the evidence presented by witnesses on day-3, it is my assumption that Mr. Parry's replacement was required to step-in due to the good-work being done by Inspector, Robert Glen...

MP Cyril Smith and "The Meat Rack"

Back in 1977, the rumours of MP Cyril Smith being involved in sexual activity with "young boys" were just that, they were rumours. It was only because of Inspector Glen that an investigation had been opened up to monitor Liberal Democrat MP, Cyril Smith, a member of parliament now confirmed to have been a prolific child abuser.

At the time when Superintendent Parry was replaced by Superintendent Neil Diver, Robert Glen's team had already amassed plenty of evidence against Cyril Smith. Officers from the Club's Office had witnessed Cyril Smith driving around and picking up young boys in his Cadillac car. This went on in an area of London so rife with underage male prostitution, the Club's Office had named it "The Meat Rack". Young boys were even trafficked into the area from Amsterdam and evidence given to the inquiry suggested that "traffic" also flowed in the opposite direction.

After Inspector Glen was convinced his team had attained enough credible evidence against the MP, he decided it was time to approach his superior and request a warrant for the arrest of Cyril Smith, on suspicion of sexual abuse against various underage boys.

On asking Robert Glen to recall Superintendent Diver's response to his request, he described his superiors reaction as "bitterly opposed" and "very annoyed". He then went on to recall how Neil Diver, not only, refused to grant the warrant, but also closed down the whole investigation into MP Cyril Smith.

Sadly, this wasn't the end to the bemusing behaviour that surrounded Superintendent Neil's appointment to The Club's Office...

The Hilton Hotel investigation

A second investigation, ran by Inspector Robert Glen, was one that looked into The Hilton Hotel and how the manager appeared to be saving rooms to be used by Prominent members of society together with underage prostitutes. Just as before, Robert Glen's team had done all the hard work, staking-out The Hilton for some time, while they gathered enough evidence to proceed with the arrest of, at the least, the Manager, who was facilitating the abuse of young children. Yet again, Inspector Glen's requests were thwarted by Superintendent Neil Diver and, again, his investigation was closed down before any arrest could be made. This was, however, the undoing of Neil Diver...

Unbeknown to Superintendent Diver, Inspector Glen ignored his superiors orders and refused to remove his men from their stake-out positions at The Hilton. This secret operation continued just for a few more days, but it was long enough for the officers stationed at the hotel to witness their stand-in-Superintendent having a late-night meeting with the very same manager of the Hilton Hotel who had been the focus of their investigation...

Obviously, this raised some serious red-flags, but being a Superintendent comes with a certain amount of protection and just one suspicious meeting would never be enough for Robert Glen's unit to blow the proverbial whistle. For that they would need something even more incriminating...

...But Neil Diver would never be that dumb, would he..?

A room at the Plaza Hotel!

The Plaza Hotel was situated directly across from the area frequented by "The Meat Rack" and it was a member of their staff that had alerted Police to attend, when they became suspicious of someone trying to use false details to obtain a room...

During the inquiry, Robert Glen continued to back up his suspicions about Superintendent Neil Diver's behaviour and gave evidence about something he had been told a while after He and Mr Diver parted company. Mr Glen, who later went on to become a distinguished member of the Police, spoke of how he was informed by a colleague of the details surrounding the suspicious client at The Plaza Hotel...

As it turned out, when the police arrived at the hotel to investigate the call that had come from security and question the gentleman involved, it was none other than Superintendent Neil Diver. The off-duty Superintendent had tried to pay the receptionist with a cheque signed in a false name, foolishly forgetting that the cheque had his real name printed along the bottom. But what was more concerning to the officers attending, and to the inquiry panel, was the guest Neil Diver had chosen to accompany him to bed. According to Robert Glen's evidence, Neil Diver, the man who had previously closed down 2 separate operations investigating crimes of child sexual abuse, was accompanied by one of the young boys known to the police to be a member of "The Meat Rack".... Well fancy that... I guess that's what they call being caught with your pants down, well almost anyway.

The end...(Well, to this part of the hearing at least)

Please Join me in my next edition, where I will be writing about another operation that showed great promise but, in the end, came to nothing...

Thanks to all of you who have read this post. Please feel free to show your appreciation with a re-steem, an upvote or even a comment - It really does mean a lot - :D

Below is the live streamed hearing from Day-3, where you can hear, unedited, all of the evidence I have just relayed to you. (Robert Glen's evidence begins at 33minutes in)

What a crazy story! What kind of state of mind you have to be in to perpetrate these crimes or abuse kids like that I will never know.

I suppose when you have power and feel you can do what you want, you do just that and your discipline fades away from disuse.

Thanks for commenting Mr Pickleman 🙂
The way I see it is that in any given field you have different levels of ambition, be it sport, science or anything, even paedophiles. They have different levels they will go to to achieve their goals in life. The ones on display here are the very worst, the driven sociopaths/phycopaths and they know that by spending time constructing a career, they can then achieve their real goal in life. Sad fact is that phycopaths thrive in society, especially nowadays, and now we have them at the top calling the shots. Bring back guy Fawkes is all that I can think of doing 😀

So great to see the logical analysis that is not accompanied by frothing emotion and passionate soap box preaching!

One good thing about the internet, social media and freedom of speech, it is easy to blow the whistle and get the message out to a large network.

People complain that all they see is bad news but that could be activism shining light on the crap that would be swept under the rug in an era past.

Long gone are the days of me getting over excited about this kind of thing and besides, people often think you're just another conspiracy nut so it did me no favours. Im glad you mentioned that about free speech and the internet as there are a few who think it's wrong to give everyone a voice but as you rightly said, it does help to stop things being brushed under the carpet.
On a lighter note, I hope you're well and all is good.
