Manju Kapoor | Beauty Therapist

Moving to Australia was a big step for Manju Kapoor. A beauty therapist, she started her career in 1989 in New Delhi, India, and ran her own salon for 20 years. And then one day in 2010, she decided to give up her thriving business and move 8,000 kilometres Down Under. “It was a big step for me and for my career. When I reached here I had to start from the ground up. I did courses in media make-up, hair dressing, and beauty,” says Manju, who in 2013 established her own business here under the name Love Beauty.

“Australia lets you be, lets you grow. If you are honest with your clients, have patience and plan well, this is a land of opportunities,” says Manju. Over the years, she says, she has learned not to expand her business too quickly, and think long term.

“Growth is a stage wise process of development. During the process one can either boost or refine the setting to develop the business. The most important rule is to change and upgrade knowledge,” she says.

“The bottomline is that I love the Australian system. And I think moving here was one of the best decisions I made,” says Manju.
