• From Abu Hurairah radhiallahu anhu from the Prophet sallallaahu alaihi wasallam that Allah Ta'ala said in hadith Qudsi:

كل عمل ابن آدم له إلا الصيام, فإنه لي وأنا أجزي به. الصيام جنة
ㅤ
"All the works of Adam's son are for him except fasting, for he is for Me and I alone will repay him. Fasting is a shield. "(Narrated by Al-Bukhari no 1904 and Muslim No. 1151)

• From Abu Hurairah radhiallahu anhu that the Messenger of Allah sallallaahu alaihi wasallam said:

من صام رمضان إيمانا واحتسابا غفر له ما تقدم من ذنبه
ㅤ
"Whoever fasts Ramadan by faith and wishes the reward will be forgiven all his sins that have passed away." (Narrated by Al-Bukhari 1900 and Muslim No. 760)

● Brief explanation:
ㅤ
Fasting is the most distant practice of riya`, because no one knows a person is fasting except God then himself. Therefore Allah Ta'ala makes this fast as a special deed for Him because of the high value of sincerity that is in it.
ㅤ
And Allah Himself will reward the fast with an infinite reward according to His will.
ㅤ
And among those rewards is God will protect those who fast fasting from the fire of the soil as fasting it has protected the person from kemasiatan in the world.
ㅤ
Plus God will forgive all the sins of the fasting man, on condition that he does so because of the faith and only wishes the reward of Allah Ta'ala.
