A Quora member asked the following question: Would a U.S. military invasion of Iran be like as a few have called it, “Invading Afghanistan on steroids”?

And a Retired Navy whatever replied with an extensive answer calculating the cost of missiles and ammunition needed to unilaterally fire at Iranian targets as if the country's massive armed forces will just sit in defeat waiting for the incoming missiles. You can find the dumbest answer here.

I had to reply to the 'chaplain' as following, my answer is not addressed solely to this person, but I do take advantage of such platforms to awake the Sheeple of the West and to educate people reading, most of my extended replies and comments are meant for the larger audience and not limited to the persons addressed to.

Impressing the simplicity you put the plan for a ‘Regime Change’ in yet another country, as if you never learn from previous mistakes, tell us how did the Regime Change work for you in your last endeavors: Iraq, Libya, and Syria already? You had your man in Iraq who went to war with your instructions first time against Iran itself then against smaller neighbor Kuwait, then you Regime Changed him and handed Iraq to Iran itself.

You had the most pacifist leader in Africa, you removed him and turned Africa’s thriving jewel into a terrorist hub threatening every other country in the planet, your own ambassador there was killed by his own terrorists he was arming and you couldn’t do a thing about it.

You started a Regime Change in Syria in order to enhance the security of the state that controls your politics in the USA, Israel, and instead you ended up with a genocide committed by the un-uniformed troops you brought from all sides of the world and had them defeated, later on you’re ending up with a much more aggressive and advancing Russia, the Axis of Resistance (Syria - Iran - Hezbollah) and you’re retreating.

Leave all of that aside and let’s talk about your plans of invading and Regime Changing Iran, good you pointed out there’ll be a cost of tens of billions of dollars, but since you’re a retired military officer that’s your limitations just calculating how much cost would the missiles be, how about the logistics cost, even for the missiles fired from ships and the replenishing them, cost of the subsequence large deployment in and around the country you’re planning to destroy? Yeah, you didn’t think about that, just like you didn’t think about any resistance from Iran and retaliation against your own troops. Have you looked at the map and saw how you placed your troops directly under their fire range? Do you think they’ll just sit like ducks while you’re bombing them? Or they might blow up a few of your vessels in the Persian Gulf, and some of your military bases there, how many US soldiers you’re willing to sacrifice to conduct the Israeli policy on your people’s account?

Last time you faced off with Hezbollah alone in 1983, they deleted 241 of your own servicemen in 5 minutes with one bomb, for sure since you’re a former navy officer you must have had personnel killed there you knew or at least served with somewhere else.

Don’t think if Syria, for instance, didn’t retaliate yet your latest two aggressions it’s because of your superiority, sometimes you drain your enemy until you’re ready and you hit back where it hurts most, you lost all the moral ground and international support you might have had to attack Syria, now whenever Syria, or any of its allies, would strike any of your assets anywhere in the world the whole world will praise them and condemn you.

Be modest, don’t fool others, consult a strategic planner not just a warmonger who only knows how to fire some missiles from a very remote area. Ask your consultant how long it’ll take the US economy to completely collapse the moment the Iranians block the Strait of Hermouz, then come back here and give your opinion.
