Venezuela Live the Worst Crisis of Transportation a Difficulty in this Sea of Problems

in #informationwar6 years ago (edited)

Since a few weeks ago I wanted to share with the whole community of Steemit one of the problems that attack the Venezuelan in their day to day, as it is the case of transport that has become impossible and an entire Odyssey to be transported to the house, work or university.

On Wednesday at 5:30 am I was on my way to the bus stop to go to my place of work that is 1 hour from my house, to my great surprise on arrival I found about 300 people waiting in line to wait the arrival of some public transport.

It is important to point out that for almost 2 years we have been going through a transport crisis that has all Venezuelans as crazy.

I never imagined in my life that I would be so desperate to get on time to my job but that morning it was quite an odyssey to be able to get to the bus, I was approximately 3 hours in the queue, already with great annoyance and sadness to know that my country It has become impossible.

In my country we must make long lines to take a bus that mobilizes us within the urban centers due to the low supply of transport units that the public and private systems of the country have, moving in Venezuela has become an ordeal. The deterioration of transport is an almost perfect summary of the multiple effects of the crisis that the country is experiencing, because in it converge the lack of cash, the state of public services and the impossibility of repairing vehicles.

The problem is so serious that on several occasions many of the people who use public transport have had to go to their places of work on foot.

In the city where I live we can see a cemetery of buses that have been abandoned to the weather as well as in several points of the Venezuelan capital, and the term cannibalism arises to refer to the subtraction of pieces to units in dry dock to repair faults other.

But the decline of the transportation system not only affects those who provide the service, but also those who use it.

The costs remove a high percentage of your monthly income from the user's pocket. Two daily transfers to a passage with a lower cost of 5,000 thousand bolivares are converted into 200,000 bolivares per month, meaning that the Venezuelan spends a great 12% of his salary on pure transport.

The collapse of transport has forced us to make long lines, to get into vehicles that are not suitable for moving people or to walk and wear shoes that are now difficult to replace.

Transportation is one of the many crises that Venezuela suffers, but it is one of those that best shows the situation of the country. The lack of money in cash, the absence of spare parts for vehicles, the deterioration of public services and the liveliness of some to do business with the need converge. The fruit truck for some months has filled the spaces that the traditional bus has been leaving.

As a citizen I am disappointed with the government we have at this moment, as it is possible that a country that has all the riches of the world is in the worst economic situation, where we can not solve problems as simple as repairing vehicles that are government or bring from other countries spare parts for those private transportation units.

There is not even the possibility of acquiring an expensive one of its own, be it second-hand, since in order to buy a used car in Venezuela you must have at least 3 jobs and save for 4 years without spending anything.

The crisis not only attacks public transport, it also coins a new mobility service detonated by the contingency that in practice forces drivers to dissociate themselves from registered organizations to venture into informal services.

To conclude, unofficial figures have been presented indicating that 40% of the buses were removed from the metropolitan area. And another 70% of the fleet remains parked, since their owners consider that it is no longer a profitable activity.

At a time when large cities are moving towards hybrid or low-energy vehicles, the problems are growing in Venezuela to mobilize the population. "The Government is responsible for the deepening of the transport crisis and to it, fundamentally , it is the task of amending it, changing the wrong policies.

Venezuela is on the tightrope and it is a matter of time for all citizens to wake up and make this country take a different direction if not, we will be becoming the second Cuba.

Dude this is crap ej. Now even people might get in trouble on their work with these kind of lines. What a disaster!

It is the biggest disaster that venezuela has ever experienced. Crazy, the government has given the task of destroying what little we have left. @karinxxl

Such a sad story! I am grown up in a Real Socialist country too, however life never was that miserable as just in Venezuela. It can't go on for ever with that bad situation. Be strong, all the best!

Amen! Here we continue fighting for a better country, this will come to an end. @johano
