Washington Secrecy is Creating a Know-Nothing Democracy
In this day in history Washington is much more secretive then it used to be in the past, policy maker's rationalize their policies while the American people think they are better off not knowing.
The American republic cannot thrive or even stay above water if the people are left to deal with the bipartisan cover ups from this ruling class in D.C.
Reporter's without borders had a recent study where they ranked the United State's at 45th for press freedom, that is worse then Romania and just better then Botswana.
This is not due to Trump's fake new's rant's, but most of this rank come's from the Obama administration. Trump is supporting some thing's that older president's had in place that limit freedom of the press and the right of American's to know what is going on in D.C.
Secrecy could be what get's Gina Haspel to be CIA chief, the CIA withheld much of the information on Haspel's 33 year's with the agency.
The CIA did allow them to know that Haspel met with mother Teresa, possibly to vindicate her for her role in Bush-Era torture.
Haspel when ordered to destroy video of water boarding sessions did so, Trump want's congress to believe that Haspel will be open to telling congress what's going on.
This is just not gonna be the likely option, in her testimony on Wednesday failed to answer question's about her role in the war on terror.
US troop's are in 14 different nation's fighting "terrorism" this is something that mainly those in Washington know about. After four US soldiers were killed in Niger last October, Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) and Sen. Charles Schumer (D-N.Y.) admitted they has no idea there were a thousand troop's in that African nation.
It is almost a fact that congress has no idea of everything going on oversea's, this mean's that it is the president and the pentagon making all the decision's.
I think that the people are so fed up with how bad government has got that they don't care anymore, but is that not the most important time to pay attention? I think so and that is probably what drove me down this path, I am glad I got so interested and so involved in learning what is going on in this country.
