Politically Correct - The After Show : Erasing Info Wars

in #informationwar6 years ago

The Erasing of Alex Jones and InfoWars.

Alex Jones’ and Infowars’ content has been removed by from Apple, Facebook, Spotify, LinkedIn and YouTube within 12 hours of each other.

These top technology companies erased most of the posts and videos on their social media platforms from Alex Jones, the internet’s notorious so called “conspiracy theorist”, creating a debate over their role in regulating what can be said online.

Is it suspicious that they all did this within 12 hours of each other? Is this a real conspiracy and collusion among the social media giants to block conservative points of view and free speech prior to the mid-term elections?

Watch this issue of Politically Correct to find out.

The After Show

We are just three guys who like to talk about current events, politics and self-reliance. Each week we pick a topic and try to stick to it in the main show, but in the After Show we dive deep into conspiracies and other not so mainstream discussions. Stick with us and you might learn something you probably didn’t want to know.

@deanlogic have you looked into network neutrality? I was blown away but how the big tech firms have the ability to censor what they please and not have to tell anyone when and why.
This censor of Alex Jones is just another example.

I agree anyone and everyone should have the right to say what they want. Whether true or not it's their words. By blocking and deleting his works it only creates suspicions. It is helping Alex get notice rather than be censored.

Well, even with ISP's, I think if one tries to block, then another one will see it as an opportunity to make money.

Well, if you ask me, that numb-nut called "Alexa Jones" can stay far away from any public outlet.

Whether it was a planned action of somebody or pure coincidence or somebody going "They kicked him, we better follow suit!" - is nothing I care about discussing right now.

However, I do think it's any private firms decision whether they want to kick somebody out or leave them in, especially when (like in this case) no governmental action/law/restriction is behind this.

If it's my forum/website, I can kick anyone out if I please to do so - I only have to live with any public outcry (or other consequences) about it, if any.

Alex Jones is promoting fake news (e.g. "Sandy Hook-shooting was staged") and is promoting a lot of pseudo-scientific nonsense and using derogatory speech/hate speech on a regular basis.

I have absolutely no pity for him.

As I state in the video, these companies are private companies and they have every right to do what they want. It affects their customers and their bottom line. Facebook and Twitter have already felt the pain from their selective banning.

I also state that I don't follow Alex Jones, because I don't think anything he says is truthful. However, their desire to silence him does make me wonder what he said that was actually truthful enough that they were frightened others might catch on.

The ban only increased the number of people interested in what he says, mostly due to human nature of wanting to see a train wreck.

Some of the Info Wars Conspiracy Theories are way way out there.

Brother's great posts, good luck always in steemit business
