Why Truth is Important

The very nature of man yearns for truth but is quite comfortable being fed a lie, as long it it tallies with their perception of it. That being said can we comfortably live in a post truth World? Truth is a relative subject, and means different things to different people.

Political power itself is built on a lie; one that tells us we need to be controlled by a centralized body to record any sustainable progress, and most politicians would rather keep the cycle of control in tact, by using the 'we know what's best for you' excuses. To maintain status quo, half truths and false narratives are unleased to the unsuspecting people, and only those who yearn for truth are liberated from falling prey to the group think herd.

In the information war truth has become the last hope of rescue from an implosion. One thing about a lie is that it only leads to more lies, and eventually confuses everyone, plunging us on a downward spiral, as we have so often seen with the policies of government. It is perhaps despised because of its unbiased, apolitical nature, giving little regard to which cultures or beliefs of the time are the most accepted. No wonder then that those who control the information narrative are always eager to paint their version of truth - before certain errors become quite glaring.

Truth is a long term weapon. With regards to the self destructive tendencies of man, the constant embrace of disinformation has only succeeded in putting us in a place of vulnerability.

We have placed too little value ensuring the right information is what we get, some of us would genuinely rather not confront the truth. Truth has much more significance than political power. A society that allows itself to be led on the premises of a lie falls into a self constructed black hole to which there is no bottom.
