Calling Out Professional Athletes

Put your money where your mouth is! That is what anyone who deals in rational thought should say to any professional athlete when they are grand-standing in "protest". Whether it be kneeling or refusing to meet President Trump at the White House after a championship, the irony of their actions is that not one of them has ever showed up to a protest organized by working class Americans.

Eagles Wide Receiver Torrey Smith calls Trump "cowardly" and has used his access to media to promote the unfounded idea that POTUS should be impeached. And, looking into the details of Torrey Smith brings up an important question that will call out any professional athlete who believes they are protesting police violence against African-Americans. And that questions is, "What have you done to improve the lives and communities you purport to represent with your kneeling protest?".

Torrey Smith is from Colonial Beach Virginia. This quaint little coastal town near Washington DC is ironically light years away from the depressed neighborhoods inside the District. And the very fact that this is a peaceful community filled with great little cottages on the shores of the Potomic River pulls the rug out from under Torrey Smith's credibility.

And when you look at the High School he went to in Fredericksburg, Virginia you begin to see the hypocrisy of Smith. Granted, Fredericksburg rates an D in crime according to Areavibes.com. But ,as we have learned from our studies, crime rate is directly related to cost of living. And Areavibes.com gives Fredericksburg an F, in that category.

And it should also be no surprise that a Democrat, Mary Katherine Greenlaw, is the mayor of Fredericksburg. And this fact lines up with data that shows decades of Democratic rule in American cities, is almost always congruent with synthetically high property values. And synthetically high property values are directly related to higher crime. This is because people who live in these areas are forced to deal with survival and they forget how to live. Its an old trick that people are becoming aware of exactly how damaging it has been to our metropolitan areas.

Stafford Senior High School where Torrey Smith graduated, shows no indication it is related to the rough and tumble world he claims to support with his kneeling protest.

Pick any random street in Fredericksburg with Google Maps street view and see if you can find where, what, and who Torrey Smith claims to be supporting in his protests and refusal to meet with President Trump. Ironically, only a few short miles away from the pleasant community of Fredericksburg and Colonial Beach is one of the most crime ridden areas of our country. It's ironic that on one hand Torrey Smith never specifically mentioned this area. And, on the other hand it's ironic this is a neighborhood in Washington DC.

How many professional Athletes have ventured into depressed neighborhoods and actually tried to do something about the situation.

The sharp contrast of the depressed DC neighborhood makes Torrey Smith's protest feckless. As you can see, a street randomly selected in Fredericksburg shows sighs on economic opportunity and community pride. The classic setting of a thriving middle class was the backdrop of Torrey Smith's youth. He was not a product of the Ghetto he tries to bring light to with his indignation for President Trump and American Veterans.

Of course this all started when Colin Kaepernick decided to protest against excessive police violence against African-Americans in depressed communities. Lets analyze Kaepernick for a moment. Born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to a white woman named Heidi Russo his father is simply listed as an "African-American man". He was later adopted by a white family. And grew up in Turlock California. So right off the bat, Kaepernick's point of view and experience of depressed neighborhoods is suspect. And it seems more logical for a man who was born out of wedlock to protest the random seed placed into his then 19 year old mother, than it would be to protest against violence in a place he knows nothing about. It is after all, the break down of the family in depressed urban neighborhoods that many believe is directly related to gang violence and drug related crime. And as these neighborhoods are vehemently anti-cop, the officers assigned to these neighborhoods are on edge all the time. These places are war-zones right here in America. And it does not have to be that way if we rebuild the family in America.

With his huge afro hairdo and wannabe hippy style, how has Kaepernick engaged the communities he claims to protests against by kneeling during the American National Anthem?

Perhaps Kaepernick with his millions felt a huge wave of compassion for the plight of inner city violence foisted upon African-Americans not as fortunate as he. And that is understandable. Barring a few nut-job racists that sadly still exist in America, a vast majority of white Americans cringe in horror and disbelief when they see police abuse weapons discharge protocols. One speculation is that Kaepernick began the protest for personal reasons surrounding a good looking hippy woman he wanted to impress in San Fransisco.

And it further paints these protests as grandstanding ego dribble as opposed to decisive action. If Kaepernick was honestly passionate about helping the plight of Americans in the depressed neighborhoods, would he not have already begun to use his millions to improve his birth city of Milwaukee, Wisconsin?

The other thing these professional athletes do not seem to grasp is that we are in the information age. So, daily, we see young African-Americans wake up and speak up for conservative values. And the information age also gives the random sports fan a lot of alternatives to traditional "Big 3" sports, (baseball, basketball, & football). Today you can catch a wide variety of alternative sports on Redbull TV. And the huge cache of programming Redbull TV and it's worldwide popularity are a strong indicator that the droves abandoning the NFL, NBA, and MLB will find their fix elsewhere. And, with that fix satisfied, the numbers professional sports in America once enjoyed will never come back to their pinnacle.

The World Rally Championships covered on Redbull TV are one of the website network's most popular sports. And, it should be noted that the national anthem of what ever country the winning athlete represents is observed in silence and respect.
