UNICEF (United Nations Children's Fund) is an organization that helps children and mothers around the world and more specifically the third world and poor countries. They gather money by contributions given to them by other individuals, corporations, events, governments and other organizations.

Except the fact that they provide food,water and medicines to mothers and children in need they also help those kids grow in a better environment and even provide them with everything they need in order to have a better education and future. There are over 30 national committees in different countries that are considered as an independent non profit organization.

Those committees gather funds the same way i mentioned above and a certain amount of money is sent to the ''main UNICEF" to do their work and distribute it evenly and a small amount is for each country's operating expenses.

Now that we know a little bit about UNICEF let's head to UNICEF GREECE

 

In case you didn't know here in Greece we are pioneers of corruption. You might say we even have a Phd with honors in the field and more specifically in ''how to corrupt everything and get away with it". As natural UNICEF GREECE was corrupted as fuck and i am gonna enlighten you a bit more below.

What Happened?

So a few members of UNICEF GREECE that actually cared about the whole mission and couldn't stand the corruption that happened, talked to the ones that they should and 2 separate audits showed that a lot of things were hidden such as inadequate accounting records, controversial employment practices as well as controversial requirements and incompetent governance.

Can we make it worse? 

 Yes we can! and i am gonna explain immediately what exactly happened to those euros that came out of normal citizens and in general contributors:

• Bonus given without a reason
• Over 1 million euros as a monthly income for just 30 people. Imagine that 1000$ per month in Greece is considered a lot, so let's say the average person if they were so skillful and with many degrees was 5000$ (not even close to reality), the total per month is 150.000. HAHA and they earned 1 million :P

• Forgery of Signatures
• They used the money for private causes like fancy restaurants, trips,renovation of their houses,buying silver candles for weddings (not a joke) etc etc

• 2/3 of the employees had family relations between them. 

As you can clearly see the corruption was extremely high and this thing was ongoing for about 15-20 years. That is completely related to the 2 previous governments that mostly all these yeas governed the country. Providing their silence and turning a blind eye they earned a fair amount too.

I remember and i was watching this live on TV that after a member of the new government (a different government that those 2 and newly formed about 4 years now) starting to say out loud of the scandals that UNICEF GREECE committed and how that ties them with the previous governments a politician of one of those two said "now you are trying to take the money out of the poor children? How Cruel & Low You People Are " 

That was obviously a trick to make the public think how bad the current government is that even tries to take UNICEF'S money. Note that i don't like the current government either it's just an example to show you how corrupted the previous ones were.

After a couple of days the main UNICEF cast aside the National Committee of UNICEF'S GREECE and no longer ''recognize'' it as a part of the organization, meaning that all of these things were actual real and proving how lame that politician was and how much money the previous governments earned by that scandal.

Ofc as i mentioned in the beginning we have deep knowledge in how to avoid everything. As such nobody is in jail neither from the higher employees nor from the previous governments. All lived happily ever after and the poor kids that actually could benefit a lot from all these stolen money could have a better day or even lived till today. Well i guess buying silver wedding gifts is something more important than a child's life (Silver Remains Forever)

Finally if you don't believe me just go and google UNICEF GREECE and see what's written even before you click on the link that directs to the main site and also never ever give money to a person that says he/she is from that organization.

Note that i use funny gifs and a bit more sarcastic approach alongside black humor to cut the tense of a thing like that, that is extremely serious.
