The State of the Alt Right - The Good the Bad and the Ugly

The Alt Right, it what it do. Despite what people think, there is really only one thing that the full spectrum of the movement has in common. That one thing is identity. Many would like to think it's dying. As they say though, there is no going back...

What is going on with it?

Richard Spencer, the first and it's looking like the last of the popular first generation of the Alt Right Speakers seems to be on his way out. His University speaking tour has been long cancelled, many people dislike him and people don't trust him. Just this weekend, he was kept out of Sweeden.

Newsweek covered that:

Spencer had arrived in Poland to enter Europe’s free travel zone—the Schengen Area. En route to Sweden to be a “secret guest” for the alt-right conference, Spencer was refused entry into Europe by Polish immigration.

Andrew Anglin of the Daily Stormer has defaulted in a lawsuit brought against him and it will soon be known how much money he owes to a Middle Eastern radio host he assumedly jokingly wrote was a terror mastermind.

According to Haaretz:

Obeidallah didn’t request a specific amount of damages. In that situation, judges typically have a hearing to determine the amount.

We shall see...

Since at least the beginning of the year, staunch leftist outlets have been saying Alt Right is over. Recently though, some of those same outlets have been warning of the continued existence and resurgence of the Alt Right. So, ironically 50 year old Punk Rockers "Bad Religion" now a clearly establishment band has made what this author says is kind of a creepy anti-Alt Right song. They need to stay relevant somehow, right? At least for 14 year olds. 14 year olds are "punk."

Another effort to stifle the movement calls Amazon's ethics into question. There is a second effort to push Amazon to remove products deemed Alt Right. No word on whether they will remove other "offensive" political items.

Amazon is enabling and profiting from hate groups and ideologies, according to a damning report released on Friday.

The report, “Delivering Hate: How Amazon’s Platforms Are Used to Spread White Supremacy, Anti-Semitism, and Islamophobia,” details a variety of ways that hate groups take advance of Amazon’s massive platforms and inconsistently enforced policies. Two advocacy groups ― Partnership for Working Families and Action Center on Race and the Economy ― compiled the study.

Clothiers Zara and H&M have been chastisted and or singled out for creating "bad" or "ebil" clothing. The first lady donning the now infamous jacket sparked an article by The WaPo which can be found syndicated here.

Fast-fashion retailer Zara found itself in the headlines recently after the first lady wore one of the company’s designs — a 2-year-old olive green jacket emblazoned with the words “I REALLY DON’T CARE, DO U?” — on her way to visit immigrant children who had been forcibly separated from their parents.

As the more recent news articles understand, the Alt Right is not going away. It is only going to emerge stronger as v. 2.0. All sorts of right-wing outlets have pivoted to at least cover identity politics and the clash of peoples.

It's not as if the radical left, or POC who want to Colonize White Nations while faux intellectual ones claim they are "decolonizing" it and the commies have not gone away or are getting ready to leave or are retrenching as Kennedy Democrats.
