RobinStoltman: Lost parental rights

Stoltman, 32, moved hertwoyoungerchildren to South Dakota to avoidthe Minnesota system.

Shetoldthe St. Cloud Times she has a braininjurythatraised a flagwhenherfirst son wasborn, shesaid. Herhusbandalso has a criminal history and attended sex offendertreatment. Thetwodivorcedfor a time with hopes itwouldimproveher chance of gainingcustody, shesaid.

"Theyusedanything and everythingagainst me," Stoltmansaid.

"Ms. Stoltmanreceived a multitude of intensiveservicesfor ten months, yetduringthat time periodshewasneverable to consistentlydemonstratefor a reasonableperiod of time theability to adequatelycareforthechildwithoutneedingpromptingoroversight," according to the Douglas County Findings and OrderdatedOctober 2016 and providedbyStoltman.

Amanda Weber: Fightingforcustody

Weber istrying to regaincustody of heryoungest son, held in fostercareby Morrison County officials.

Sherecently moved hertwoolderchildren to Wisconsin. Theyweretaken off the case, and Weber'sattorneysfiled a motion to dismissthe case involvingherbaby, shesaid.

"ObviouslyI'vegot to be happythatmytwooldestchildrenweretaken off the case," shesaid. "I feel a littlebetter. A littlesafer. I wasalwaysafraidtheyweregoing to takemygirlsunfairly as theytookmy son unfairly."

In courtdocuments, Weber and countyofficialstelldifferentversions of whathappenedbefore Weber lostcustody of her son. Social Servicesinvestigated Weber in March, whensomeonereportedsheleftherkids home alone — a claimshedenied — according to thecounty'spetition.

In herofficial response, Weber claims a Morrison County social worker and a primarycarephysicianacted "in badfaith and withmalice" and thatthe social workerfabricatedevidence.

"I wouldneverhaveknownthat CPS hadthistype of power," shesaid of herimpressionbeforeshelostcustody of her son. Sinceshe'ssharedherexperiencepublicly, Weber saidshe'sheardfromhundreds of otherparentswith similar stories.
